Drying of leaves is a natural phenomenon but to a certain level. To a level that it does not die due to scarcity of water. Increasing level of global warming on earth has enabled more evaporation of water from water reservoirs ( rivers, ponds, lakes etc.) and increasing level of water by transpiration ( loss of water by stomata of leaves).

To prevent the drying of plant leaves, you need to ensure that the plant is receiving adequate moisture. Here are a few tips:

1. Water the plant regularly: Make sure you are watering your plants enough. Different plants have different watering needs, so it's important to research the specific needs of your plant. As a general rule, most plants should be watered when the top inch of soil feels dry.

2.Increase humidity: Dry air can cause the leaves of plants to dry out. You can increase humidity around the plant by placing a tray of water near the plant or by misting the leaves with water.

3. Ensure proper drainage: Make sure that the plant has adequate drainage so that excess water can drain away from the roots. This will help prevent the roots from becoming waterlogged, which can lead to root rot.

4.Avoid over-fertilizing: Too much fertilizer can cause the plant to lose moisture through the leaves, leading to drying out. Make sure you are following the recommended fertilizer guidelines for your plant.

5. Provide shade: If your plant is in direct sunlight for too long, the leaves may dry out. Consider providing shade for your plant, especially during the hottest parts of the day. By following these tips, you can help prevent the drying out of your plant's leaves and keep your plant healthy.

6. Mulching: It is a method of covering root area of plants by means of artificial mulching plastics or by fallen tree leaves, straws, twigs, kitchen wastes etc. This prevents the loss of water from roots of plants and enable the roots for more availability of water for the roots to absorb.

7. Vermicomposting. Other alternative for mulching is adding vermicompost to the top layer of soil which prevents the loss of water and increases water retentive property of soil.

By following these tips, you can help prevent the drying out of your plant's leaves and keep your plant healthy.
